Located at an altitude of 2217 metres (7273 feet), Bomdila is a picturesque mountain town with stunning vistas of the surrounding mountain landscape.

Conveniently located in the middle between Bhalukpong (the entrance to Arunachal Pradesh) and Tawang, it is the perfect place to stop for 1-2 nights if you are on the way to Tawang.

How do I get to Bomdila?

The best way to travel to Bomdila is by public transport (sumo) or private car.

Sumos are SUVs used as public transport and drive between most cities in Arunachal Pradesh. They are a cheap option to get to Bomdila from Tezpur or Guwahati but they can take a long time to reach.

Private cars can be rented but it is usually recommended to go with an organized tour agency or private tour guide due to the difficulty of driving on the mountain roads.
