Private vehicles are not allowed access on the road to Bumla Pass. Bumla Pass can only be accessed with a registered local car and driver.

A special permit is required to access Bumla Pass. This is a different permit than your Inner Line Permit (ILP).
The permit for Bumla Pass is included when you book a taxi and we'll handle the application for you. You need to apply for the permit one day before.
The most common route is to go north from Tawang (A), stop by Panga Teng Tso Lake (B), and continue to Bumla Pass (C).
After Bumla Pass you can optionally go to the famous Sungetsar Lake (D). This can easily be done on the same day.
